| Really enjoyed the web-site and the memories it evoked. Most probably dont remember me but I left Silver Spring after going to Cannon Road Elem, White Oak and then halfway thru 11th grade at Springbrook before moving to St Pete Florida in 1976. Currently living in Boca Raton, Fl. Warmest Regards to all my Springbrook classmates. | |||

Barry and Matt, Nice band photos. How do you send messages through this Google group? I'm still mystisfied by 8 track tapes (low tech). Talking about that, the first monthly meeting of 'The Frederick MD Blues Jam featuring The Acme Blues Movers' will take place at Cafe 611 (611 N Market St, Frederick MD) Thursday 4/17/08, 7-10pm. Come and enjoy some Live Blues Music, and feel free to sit in. Contact me for more info. Cheers! McSloberts |

Matt, Judy, Sandi, & Marcia, et al. Thank you so much for giving me the best "trip" I have ever had. The trip of reunion night took me back to a more simple, easy going, time in my life. Nothing but good memories relived because of you guys. I really felt like it was The Twilight Zone and I was in it. I had so much fun and think that this was one of the best times of my life. I cant wait to see all of you again...here or there. The peace & love I felt once again that night was worth a million. True friendship never fails and you could feel the love after thirty years. I thank God for my memories of each of you. Phil. 1:3 Peace until we meet again, Lisa |

Hi everyone, now that the excitement of the reunion is just about over, and the activity on the website has died down, we have chosen a target date of May 31, 2008, to shut down the website. So this is a heads up notification to any and all of you who have not posted your pictures. We will have final information on how to order a CD of the website sometime after tax season is over (April 15th), therefore you may want to get any pictures and/or guest book entries posted before it's too late. Once the CD's are ordered, any activity on the website will not be recorded on the CD. If you did not attend the reunion, but you would like your name and email address on the CD, please contact us with that information if you haven't already done so. Don't forget to check back for an "Order CD" page on the website after April 15, 2008. Until then .... Peace To All Beings! |

I'm so sorry I missed the Reunion -- it looks like everyone had a great time. I am living in south Florida with my husband and children. The climate suits me -- even if the State is terrible at elections! I've been glad to catch up with a few people through this website. Hope to catch up with a few more! I definitely plan to attend the next event and I hope the Reunion committee will take this on again sometime! Brenda |

Although Debbie Ford is no longer with us here in this life and whether you knew her, didn't know her or were good friends with her, I know she affected all of us by her presence at the reunion. So here's to Debbie! On a lighter note .... Judy has uploaded the pictures from 14 of the 20 disposable cameras we had on the tables at the reunion. Six of those cameras somehow walked away, which is no big deal, we just ask that if you took pictures with those cameras you upload them onto the website for all to see. If you need instruction on how to do that, you may contact me. Thanks again everyone for making our reunion such a success as it truly was a special night for all of us. Until next time .... love to all, and peace to all beings! Marcia |

our dear friend and classmate debbie ford passed on last night, the 5th of march, 2008. debbie was the one who shared with me the news about our 30th reunion, and she herself wanted so much to be there with us all despite her battle with cancer. debbie made it to the reunion and in doing so, gave us all one last opportunity to enjoy the presence of her kind company. thanks for the gift of you, debbie! i know you will remain with us all n spirit! |

What an absolute blast that was! Ginger and I had an incredible time. Unfortunately we didn't get to spend much time with anyone. We just bounced from person to person and then....the lights went on! What a bummer. Well, I hope to see everyone again and if you ever find your self driiving up 83 past the Amish Market stop and see us and our 6 kids up in Jacobus, PA ( just over the border up 83). I was going to have my "before" picture my 67 Cougar and my "after" picture my 12 passenger van, but I could't find a picture of my Cougar. Oh well. I know I will find one when this site shuts down. Thanks again Matt and everyone for putting this together. Let's do that again..... - enjoy Tom S. |

What a wonderful reunion! I am SO glad I came in from Boulder to attend. I moved to Colorado 12 years ago, and love it. I took some great photos at the reunion and have uploaded them to this website. I hope to see more from many of you! It was so amazing to see girlfriends from Hillandale elementary school, and friends from Francis Scott Key Jr High, along with those I knew from Springbrook. What a night to remember! Please drop me a line. I would love to stay in touch. After working for IBM since graduate school (just finished 26 years), I am hoping to retire soon, and do something fun! I has been wonderful seeing the posts and comments from classmates...brings back memories! I have 3 wonderful children that all live near me here in Charlotte, NC. Two have graduated from college here in NC and the third is finishing this year in SC. I actually have not "left" high school for I teach math at a local high school in Gastonia. | What a wonderful event! I'm so glad so many in the class of '76 came together for the reunion. I ran out of cards for my book, A Girl's Pocket Guide to Trouser Trout (if men were fish and women the anglers, it's your how-to guide to land a good catch). After my catch and release first marriage, I spent 14 years in the dating pool before landing my trophy trout, so I know what puts the "ick" in ichthyology. If you want to take the quiz to find out if a guy is a keeper, check out my site at www.TrouserTrout.net. Happy fishing!

Just a thought.......One of the reasons the reunion was such a hit was the friends we cared sooo much about them, to this day still carry those same feeling and that helped to make us all to feel that much more special on Saturday. Also the ones we didn't let know then how we felt, were able to hear just what they meant to us today after all these years. Thanks guys again for giving us the opportunity to share feeling that have been buried for years. I know I feel lighter for it. How about you?

WOW! ~ What can I say that has not become obvious? What an amazing event! Thank you Marcia, Matt, Judy & Sandi, and anyone else who played a part in making "THE" night all that it was. I can’t speak for everyone else, but from all the entries & comments I’ve heard and read, it seems pretty obvious that you succeeded in surpassing most reasonable expectations for the evening. Apparently I’m not the only one who realizes that even though I got the chance to visit with so many familiar "blasts from the past", I too didn't get to see everyone I wanted to, and so many of the visits were way too brief. Marcia, Ruth, Risa, Catina, Karen; you seem to be doing great and still look fantastic!… & will always own a special place in my heart. Seeing so many people that are all memories (okay, at times failing memories) became renewed, almost to the point of overload (but in a good way!)…. Percy, Mark (& now Joyce), Gary G, Shelly, Debbie Ford, Alice, Suzy, Neil, Debbie K, Jack, Kathy, Brian, Alex (& now Nancy) Carol, Jay, Liz, Lori, Ellen G (both!), Wendy, Sheila, Ann Marie, Matt, Judy, Sandi, Joanne, Rick H, Howard G, Howard & Mary, Steve, Debbie S, Nancy, Rick N… & that’s just the beginning! Thanks for all the memories, and especially those who helped by recognizing me as well… always makes it easier. |

What a great night thanks to Matt, Judy, Marcia & Sandy! So many fun memories flashed by of days at Springbrook, White Oak, Brighton Dam and endless parties. I wish we would have had days and weeks to really talk and catch up on everything. Alex, Matt and Jeff B, you will always make me laugh. Jeff M, Joe, Andy & Tom, I would have recognized your smiles anywhere. Angela and Marie, it was so good to see that you're still as mentally ill as always! Jay, Dave, Scott, Linda & Cheryl, so good to touch base after all these years. Forgive me for not being able to name everyone, it was really fun to see so many old friends and familiar faces. I'm so glad the weekend was a blast, because re-entry to the real world has been a trip. While sitting in the airport as my flight home to WI was being delayed by hours, my daughter Andrea fell and broke her leg and sprained her knee. So I rerouted to KS and am here taking care of my college baby. Life goes on and I feel very lucky to share my past and present with wonderful people! All the best to everyone! Carol |

For five seemingly short hours on Saturday night, I left the "real world" to enter a room filled with memories of my life as it happened from childhood to what we now know as adulthood. I was mesmerized by the beautiful faces I saw as I made my way through the crowd. No one was thinking about responsibilities, bills, marriages, mortgages, illnesses, deaths... We were all living in innocence, bliss and much simpler times. It was so refreshing to feel as if time had never passed and we were all together again in our own reality. I only wish I had been able to see everyone on the list who I had intended to see. I don't know what I really expected but this went above and beyond my expectations. Everyone looked so wonderful. People have "aged" so gracefully. Each woman was more beautiful than the next. Every man looked strong and proud. I felt very lucky to have been a part of this diverse group of varied people. I want everyone I interacted with to know how much I enjoyed our conversation(s) however brief - and those people special to me became even more special. The people I newly met on Saturday now hold a place in my heart as well. I encourage people to keep in touch with me by email, phone or whatever. I will always remember this event as a highlight of my 50th year here on earth. Peace out! Sally |

It's so cool reading everyone's guest book entries, knowing that you too had an awesome time at this reunion. Seeing all my old buddies from out of town; Teri Kennedy, Cindy Willie, Sheri Cameron, Debi Sullivan, Teresa Demoro, Lisa Lucas, Janice Boyden (the party wouldn't have been the same without you all), in addition to my in town buddies and all the Cresthaven and Key kids -- what a night. Barbie Horton, I think you blew me away the most -- you are gorgeous. And finding out that the kid who sat behind me in homeroom all those years had a crush on me -- I loved it! It was the perfect evening for hugs and kisses. Liz Wheatley, I love your entry -- it's so true. And Lisa Lucas, your entries are heart warming too -- boy it was good to see you! Ellen Garcia, aren't you glad you didn't miss this? Just as the new website song says 'I hope you had the time of your life'. |

What a week end!!!
Words just can’t tell you all how I felt meeting so many old friends. Thank you Reunion Committee for all your hard work to pull this gig off. Little sleep was had by all but the time spent together will not be soon forgotten. From Friday night till late breakfast on Sunday I couldn’t find enough time to spend with everyone. I do hope it will not be another 20-30 years before we can all get back together. Thanks again for all the fun and look forward to doing it again. If anyone finds themselves in the Dallas area fell free to stop by and say hi….door is always open .

| OH MY GOD! What a blast. Pat and I had so much fun. Thank you, thank you, thank you, to Matt and Judy and who ever else had their hand in putting this together. It was so great. I was literally hiding to give my mouth a break from smiling and talking so much. We saw so many "old" friends who don't look so old. The evening just flew by and before we knew it, it was over. To whom ever took pictures of the group of us from SJB I would love to have one. Well have to get back to the simple life. Take care all of my old buddies from Springding High. Keep in touch and stay healthy. Cathy | |||

Thanks so much to everyone who had a hand in putting the reunion together. It was great to come back to the DC area again. It was the greatest to spend the weekend with my best friend from school, Barbara Carlin, whom I hadn't seen in 8 years. I'm not sure too many people remembered who I was but I remembered most everyone from Class of 77. If anyone would like to get in touch with my brother Paul (Class of 76) or my sister Deanna (Class of 78) please email me @ cherylannestump@msn.com and I'll forward the message. Elliott, send me your email and I'll get it to Deanna. Thanks again for a great weekend and I look forward to the next one. Cheryl Pelletier Stump |

Sounds like I missed a great reunion! I still enjoy reading about it, and look forward to seeing some photos. We had a mini email reunion last week (all the people Bill Wood mentioned) which was fun. I know this site will not be around much longer, and since some people never put messages on here, there was no button to send them email. I'd like to hear from Steve Hersh, Scott McPherson, Tom Schmidt or Bob Thomas (or anyone else who feels like writing), so click the button before it goes away :-) |

| Wow-Wow-Wow!!! What a fantastic time I had at this reunion. Can we have a 31 year reunion? Please? Sat. night was phenomenal! My dad, Sammy, was going to stop by and say hello and at the last minute could not come. When I told him how many people told me their "Sammy stories", he was so disappointed he was not there. Thanks to all who planned this-you rock! Whoever wants to keep in touch, please do! Janice & Mark, I truly love you and you made my night. Charly Culbertson, you know how I feel about you! Bill Dempsey, it was awesome to see you! The Harrells, great to see you! Eddie Young, you remembered me!!! I could go on and on. Love to all! | |||

| Thank you to the reunion committee for pulling this all together for us. The event was a resounding success. It was a special evening and I know we enjoyed reminiscing and spending time with people who knew us before we were "grown-ups"; before we were spouses, parents, breadwinners, the people who knew us at our most carefree and innocent. It is good to be reminded of that person inside of us every now and then. Thanks for the opprtunity. | |||

| Ah the fond memories of class mates and sunshine at Datonia Beach...Meeting my friends up at White Oak to find out were the part's were, and if there were not any, the parking lot soon became one. I thought those days would never end..After spending a season in OC., I found that I loved living near the ocean. So I moved to West LA then on to Hawaii working as a hairstylest. That was a beautiful time in my life. But after about two years. I started to miss the mainland and living near my sister and niece and all the excitment that LA held. So I moved back to California and live there another 18 years. I am now living back in the same house that I grew up in. Pesently looking after the folks, while keeping a hand in the beauty work and also enjoying the peacefulness of pet setting. I sure look forward to seeing every one. | |||

Matt, I want to thank you and all who helped put this reunion together. Incredible that over 300 alumni from all over the map are coming together to celebrate the Springbrook experience. I have regularly checked on "who's coming" and I am getting very excited to see everyone. It seems that many of us have settled here in Howard County and we take great pride and shameless arrogance in pointing out that "yes, I too went to Springbrook ". Heres my bio - 3 kids -Johnny (21) at Frostburg and in the Marine Corp., Kelley (18) and Lauren (14) both at River Hill High. I got remarried in May to Debby. Sold Maryland Copier Company in 2006. I volunteer in the occupational therapy ward at Walter Reed. Started Chesapeake Copier in November on the Eastern Shore. What is absolutely amazing is after 30 years I am lucky enough to still get together with Don Deweese, Scott Mcpherson, Jim Fisher ,Cathy (Cuz) and Pat Byrne on a regular basis. Springbrook rules! P.S. My maid went to Paint Branch! |

Taking open book test in biology with Mr. Mercer not realizing it and Angela Foxx. Jr. yr. The parties at Nick Erdles farm and beating Churchill in football. Sr. yr. our Sr. class trip to Daytonia (18 legal drinking age), signing myself out from school cause I could (back then it meant someting to be 18) and beating Churchill again in FB. I looking forward to seeing everyone on Sat.....God Bless !

| Wow.. I used to think people 30 were old. 50 is pretty young! Seeing all the names on the guest book and those attending bring back many memories. Married for 22 years to Teri and two adults later, Brittany (21) Chase (18). I’m still into hot rods. My son and I are working on restoration of a 67’ Camaro. Both are out of high school, one out of college. Twenty-three years with corporate America, now self-employed with our RadioShack in Navarre, FL. Living on the water in Gulf Breeze, Florida (near Pensacola, FL) seems like retirement, boating, fishing, scuba diving and surviving on fresh seafood. Hope everyone has a fantastic reunion, I’ll miss you this time hope to see everyone at the 40. | |||

Conclusion: No matter what YOUR memories are of the good old days, next Saturday night at the Hilton is going to be a celebration of those times. In addition to seeing our old friends who were a big part of our lives back then, some of us will recognize names of people who were in our classes, our homeroom, or just the kid we noticed walking down the hallways. So let's treasure this night and add more good times to our precious memory banks, especially since the party will be over before we know it, and who knows if we'll be around for the next reunion, if there is one. I'm really looking forward to seeing my old buddies who I miss so much. Until next weekend ...... let's get ready to party! Peace To All Beings!! The End |

Helloooo everybody! It's about time I signed this guest book. We've been busy planning this reunion since last summer, which makes it really hard to believe we're less than two weeks away from this special event. Thanks to all of you who signed the guest book and posted pics on the now and then page. This will be a long entry, so I might have to split it in two or three sections. I just want to say that Springbrook, for me, was a unique time in my life. A time where I hated going to school, yet loved seeing my friends everyday. A time I spent, for the most part, either hanging out in the school parking lot, or sleeping it off in my third period English class. It's amazing I ever graduated. School was just one big social event that lasted for three fantastic years -- some of the best years of my life, although I didn't know it back then. All those crazy weekends hanging out in the White Oak parking lot waiting for everyone to show up to go to a party -- and there always was a party to attend -- if not, we made our own. Do you remember when The Nighthawks played at our 1976 dance? What a wild night that was, during and after the dance. I look back now and wonder how I managed to literally live through those years. And you know what -- I'm the same fun loving person I was back then, except with a lot more common sense. ;-) To be continued........ |

As you can see from the list below, my mind is slippin already. The names and people get all messed up. Marcia had to help straighten them out for me. And who says drugs dont harm you, right?
